Similar to you after a couple days of trying to “figure it out” I found Wave to be very user-UNfriendly, and since we only have enough hours in the day, I just couldn't afford to invest the time to understand how it could make my life better. So, I lost interest in it and abandoned it. It's not surprising to see that most of Google's revenues come from it's search programs. All in all I think Wave was more of a user experiment than anything else. Hopefully they will use the data they collected during it's short life wisely and create yet another but better app. I'm sure they are working on it right now.
